The WAY you breathe affects your health more than diet or exercise!
Don’t believe me?
I don’t blame you.
I know it sounds a bit crazy.
In fact, when I first heard about this, I didn’t believe it. So I started researching.
The science was incredibly simple.
It was SO simple that I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t learned it in high school (or even earlier).
So much of what I thought I knew about breathing was not only wrong, but it was completely backwards. I had spent almost 20 years breathing in a way that was starving my organs and cells of oxygen. STARVING MY BRAIN OF OXYGEN!
I finally understood why many people have called this “THE GREATEST HEALTH DISCOVERY EVER!”
This is why:
Did you know that low cellular oxygen levels have been linked to virtually all chronic diseases? I didn’t.
The most popular medical textbook on physiology puts it this way: “All chronic pain, suffering and diseases are caused from a lack of oxygen at the cell level.” (Guyton 2011)
By now you should be wondering: “How can the way I breathe affect the oxygen levels of my cells?”
Great question! I’m glad you asked:)
Well, there are two well known physiological principles at work here. These two principles teach us that dysfunctional breathing can:
- Cause your blood vessels to narrow – This forces your heart to work harder, and increases the pressure in your cardiovascular system (can you say high blood pressure?) You can actually decrease the amount of blood that reaches your brain by up to 50% just by altering the way you breathe.
- Reduce the amount of oxygen available to your organs and cells – The way you breathe can cause the hemoglobin in your red blood cells to hold on to oxygen instead of releasing it where it needs to be released. This can literally starve your organs and cells of oxygen.
Sadly, these two principles compound each other’s effects by not only reducing the amount of blood reaching your organs, but also by causing less oxygen to be released from the blood to the organs.
THIS IS BAD!
And what is worse is that IT IS ESTIMATED THAT OVER 90% OF PEOPLE BREATHE THIS WAY!
That means that if you are reading this, there is a 90% chance that YOU are breathing in a way that starves your cells of oxygen. In fact, over 150 different health condition have been directly linked to dysfunctional breathing habits.
Still not convinced?
Well, if you’ve read this far, hopefully it means that I have at least piqued your interest. The truth is that I am currently creating an online course so that you can learn to retrain your breathing from the comfort of your own home. Until that course is ready, I would like to offer you a FREE 20-minute Skype consultation to see if breathing retraining is right for you.
(Hint: If you are suffering from allergies, anxiety, asthma, brain fog, chronic fatigue, headaches, hypertension, migraines, rhinitis, sinusitis, sleep apnea, snoring, or high levels of stress, this course is for you!)
All you have to do is sign up for our mailing list below by entering your first name and email address, then go to your email and confirm your email address. That’s it! I will then contact you within 48 hours to schedule your FREE consultation.
All breathing retraining courses (workshops, private, and online) include six months of PREMIUM ACCESS.

John was great to work with. Super knowledgeable about the Buteyko Method and breathing, super passionate about the subject and great at explaining what he knows. My breathing, health and sense of well-being all improved considerably in the short time I worked with John.
As a clinical psychologist, I was taught that psychotherapy was the treatment of choice for anxiety. However, for chronic, generalized anxiety, I found no relief until I worked with John to practice the Buteyko method. John has a great professional manner, and is wonderful to work with. I highly recommend his services.
Anyone with an interest in Buteyko and better breathing would benefit from sessions with John.
